During a religious festival at a temple in India, a coal-walker fell to the ground.


According to Indian media, a man fell on the burning ground during the coal-walking ritual during the annual religious festival at Bathrakli temple in Singagiri, Tal Nadu state.


According to media reports, Hindu pilgrims from nearby villages visit the temple for various forms of worship, one of which is the ritual of walking on coal.


During this ritual, first the Hindu pandit walks on the coals and then one by one his devotees walk on the coals and during this ritual a person could not control himself and fell on the burning ground.


According to media reports, when the fallen person was unable to get up, bystanders poured mud and water on the person and he was immediately taken to the hospital.
